The office ensures that computers, networks, servers, software applications, and information systems operate efficiently, securely, and reliably

1. Systems and Infrastructure Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage IT infrastructure, including computers, printers, and other hardware.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation of all ICT resources.
  • Perform system updates, upgrades, and routine maintenance.

2. Network Administration and Security

  • Manage and maintain computer networks, internet connectivity, routers, switches, and wireless systems.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
  • Monitor systems for security threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
  • Ensure compliance with ICT policies, standards, and data protection requirements.

3. User Support and Service Delivery

  • Provide technical support to staff, students, and other users.
  • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Conduct user training and promote digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness.

4. Data Management, Backup, and Documentation

  • Manage institutional databases and information systems.
  • Perform regular data backups and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
  • Ensure the availability, integrity, and security of institutional data.
  • Maintain IT asset records, system documentation, and technical reports.
