Students from the Faculty of Applied Sciences continue to benefit from hands-on practical learning experiences aimed at equipping them with real-world agricultural and production skills.
Today 15th May 2026, Year Two students pursuing the National Diploma in Animal Production participated in practical training sessions in Dairy Processing Technology, where they gained valuable exposure to modern dairy processing techniques and practices.
On Thursday, 14th May 2026, students pursuing Bachelor of Agricultural Education and Bachelor of Agricultural and Rural Innovations visited a fish farm for experiential learning. During the visit, students engaged in various practical activities and gained firsthand knowledge and skills in fish farming and aquaculture practices.
Earlier, on Wednesday, 13th May 2026, students from the Bachelor of Agricultural and Rural Innovations and Bachelor of Agricultural Education programs visited an apiary within the municipality. The visit provided students with practical skills in apiary management, honey harvesting, and honey processing.
The Faculty appreciates the administration for the continued support and provision of resources that facilitate practical training activities. Students expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bridge classroom learning with practical field experience, enhancing their competence and readiness for the agricultural sector.
