On Sunday 10th May 2026, the St. Augustine Catholic Community successfully conducted a handing over and swearing-in ceremony for its newly elected student leaders in a colorful event attended by students and all other IU Stake Holders.
The ceremony marked an important transition of leadership as the outgoing leaders officially handed over responsibilities to the newly elected team. During the event, the new leaders took an oath of office, committing themselves to serve the student community with dedication, integrity, and unity.
Speaking during the ceremony, Dean of Students congratulated the incoming leadership upon their election and encouraged them to promote teamwork, discipline, and spiritual growth within the community. Appreciation was also extended to the outgoing leaders for their commitment and service during their term of office.
The event was characterized by prayers, speeches, and moments of reflection, emphasizing the importance of servant leadership and cooperation among students. IU Stake Holders expressed confidence that the new leadership would continue strengthening the values and activities of the Catholic community.
The ceremony ended with a spirit of unity and hope as students pledged support to the newly sworn-in leaders in fulfilling their responsibilities throughout their term of service.
